Chaos Gods -Book One of the Purgatory Journals
Released 5/28/2020

Braldt Lioncastle was a disgraced ex-cop, working as a bouncer at a bar, separated from his wife, and living in a barn. He thought he had hit rock bottom.
But today he woke up dead. His day went downhill from there. Braldt's spirit was judged not ready for heaven or hell and instead was assigned to a prison-like world called Purgatory. An existence where eight Chaos Gods rule over a violent world where ancient magic, legendary monsters like dragons, demons, vampires, and historical heroes, are real.
A place where time and space are as chaotic as the world's Gods. Dying painfully in horrible new ways is everyday news in this world. Worse, when slain you wake in your tomb only to do it again the next day. All to earn Enlightenment in hopes of one day moving on to your soul's next destination.
Can a common human find allies and survive in a world of supernatural beings were dying was not supposed to be permanent, when, suddenly, true death of the soul was not only a possibility but a probability?

There, he must lead the Company of Light to save a post-apocalyptic version of Earth, where humans and nature are on the brink of extinction after magic's return.

Fireside Tales of a Knight

Come with me on a grand journey as I relive 50 years of being an adventure junkie. I have been in life, and death struggles real and pretend for all of my life. Always with hearty friends by my side. A sniper, WWII tank crew member, a medieval knight, a samurai, an explorer, and a cowboy.
I have been on numerous types of battles grounds, and I have ridden on a tourney field carrying a lance and jousted with friends and foes. I relived the chivalry and honor of medieval times.
Stood in a shield wall fighting beside my brothers in arms while surrounded and outnumbered on a field of thousands of fighting warriors.
I have been thrown from bucking horses, and from the back of a mule, I have explored, mapped and been lost at night in winters cold while deep in old forests and trails where few others tread.
All these things and more have I been and will explain through short stories about my life.
These are the tales I tell around a fire with a drink in my hand, and surrounded by friends.
Come sit with me by my fire and laugh, cheer and maybe even shed a tear.

4 Stars This is a great book, and very entertaining. I literally laughed out loud many times; usually getting me to do so once with a book is an accomplishment.

5 Stars Great read! On afternoons spent reading this book, you get to live vicariously through the author as an adventurous free spirit ....who is A LOT more creative, brave, and tougher (or maybe crazier) than most. The retold memories are of an extreme thrill-seeker and an enjoyable book.
